Frequently Asked Questions

Can the RS10 work without GPS signal?
Yes. The RS10's visual SLAM technology enables continuous scanning in GNSS-denied environments like underground, indoors, under tree canopy, or in urban canyons. It seamlessly switches between GNSS RTK outdoors and SLAM indoors.
What's the difference between 120m and 300m models?
The primary difference is maximum range. The RS10 (300m) can measure targets up to 300m away at 80% reflectivity, making it ideal for large infrastructure, mining, or quarry applications. The RS10 (120m) is perfect for urban surveying, construction sites, and indoor mapping. Both have identical accuracy and features.
What software is included?
SmartGo (real-time data visualization), CoPre (LiDAR processing, trajectory processing, point cloud georeferencing), and CoProcess (point cloud management, feature extraction, DEM/DSM generation) are all included. These provide a complete workflow from field capture to deliverables.
How long does the battery last?
Each battery provides 60 minutes of continuous scanning. The RS10 features hot-swappable batteries, allowing you to work for extended periods by simply swapping batteries without stopping your workflow. Multiple batteries can be carried for all-day operation.
What accuracy can I expect in SLAM mode vs GNSS mode?
In GNSS RTK mode, you achieve 0.8cm horizontal and 1.5cm vertical accuracy. In visual SLAM mode (GNSS-denied), the system maintains consistent relative accuracy of 1.5cm for the point cloud, with absolute positioning accuracy depending on control points or loop closure.
